Every session starts from first principles — no prior knowledge required, just curiosity. In fact, some of the best conversations happen with guests who have never touched whisky before.
Each session includes a curated selection of Scotch whiskies (typically 4–6 drams), guided tasting notes with sensory instruction, storytelling about each distillery and its history, and still water for palate cleansing between pours. Private sessions also include a bespoke tasting booklet you can take home.
Yes, absolutely. We can provide non-alcoholic alternatives so that everyone at your gathering can participate in the storytelling, the sensory experience, and the conversation — regardless of whether they drink. The Scotch Tales is about connection, not consumption.
We come to you for private and corporate events — your home, your office, your venue of choice. Public group tastings are held at selected partner venues in the local area. Exact locations are confirmed upon booking confirmation.
We recommend at least 2–3 weeks' notice for private events to allow for curation, sourcing, and preparation. Public events are announced on a rolling basis — sign up to our mailing list to be notified first and secure your spot early. Corporate events benefit from 4–6 weeks' lead time.
For private tastings, we welcome groups from 4 to 12 guests. Smaller groups mean a more intimate experience and more time for personal guidance and storytelling. Public events are open to individuals and pairs — you don't need a group to join.
